Sherry Kashmark of Ontario saw that her local rescue had fallen on tough times after most of the local foster families left. Thankfully, she said, all but one cat had been adopted, so Sherry stepped in to bring in more animals for the shelter to help.
“With the availability I was able to reopen intake for the first time in almost a year and welcome three new cats so far that likely would have ended up in a high kill shelter,” she explained.
During the PrideStrong Weeklong she also stepped in to help bring some order to the kitten foster program. She also worked to update databases, upload forms for online access, and update the list of kittens that needed to be spayed and neutered.
