Pride member Kristen Mettler shared her volunteer story of how she helped to socialize  traumatized shelter dogs.

Went to do our Pride Strong volunteering today! I convinced my whole family to go with me, and together we walked dogs, cleaned out cat cages, and gave love and attention to almost 40 animals. These two pitbulls have a sad story. No one is quite sure what happened to them, but they are both very very scared of everything. Our main mission of today was to help them, give them love, and get them a little closer to seeing that the world isn’t a bad place. I spent well over an hour just sitting with them, trying to get them comfortable and relaxed, and my dad did the same. It was a day well spent
